Arnold Eucken

(July 3, 1884 in Jena, died. June 16, 1950 in Seebruck on Lake Chiemsee). German chemist. He was the son of the writer and brother of Rudolf Eucken economist Walter Eucken. Studies held at Kiel, Jena and Berlin. Walther Nernst, was a col laborator. Habilitation in 1911. In 1915 was appointed professor in Wroclaw. And since 1930 the University of Göttingen as successor to Gustav Tammann. At the invitation came to Göttingen in 1931, Edward Teller, who worked there with James Franck and Hertha Sponer.
